83 DAYS OLD:  the last baby leaves. ben, stewart, zach, marni and rover get ready for the trip to rover’s new home.

002

all set to go. zach and ben look so very happy. rover is going to have an absolutely great life, such a lucky little boy!

003

now i get to have my bedroom back . . . hopefully for only a month or so. ‘one’ is ready to go in season, more puppies in april?????

79 DAYS OLD:  quiet day yesterday, at least in terms of doing anything exciting. rover is still bereft over the fact that everyone has left him. in the evening we played in the kitchen and he kept running up to molly, who was not happy she had to stay in her crate while rover was running around free. we made up for it today. had to get some more puppy food down in westfield. because he is a little big at this point to sit on my lap while i am driving and the trip would involve actual ‘traffic’, i put him in a little travel crate. aaaaaaaaaah, the indignity of it all and a pink crate to boot – how embarassing for a boy dog! rover definitely let me know he was not happy the whole way down the hill, but finally resigned himself to the fact when i wouldn’t take him out and the rest of the trip went peacefully.

002

this is joe at westfield feed.  rover really liked him.

004

we stopped at the vet’s office. such a big boy, i was curious to see how much he weighs. mandy, the vet tech, put him on the scale. he weighs 10.2 lbs.! i think rover is going to be just like his great grandfather, spock, who was a ‘dog’s dog’ and a gentle giant.

005

then we stopped at the library just in time for the blandford knitting club. bonnie had to get some puppy love. while there, we showed the ladies the pictures taken of the knitting club last week.

007

pat came in to get some books for his grandchildren’s visit tomorrow. he and rover had a real male bonding . . . or maybe rover was just fascinated by pat’s mustache.

008

back home again and into the puppy pen with rover very loudly letting me know he wanted more adventures. while i was updating the blog it all of a sudden got real quiet . . . then i felt some scratching on my leg. guess who finally figured out he could climb out of the puppy pen! back into the pen, this time with the top on. now rover is taking a nap. he is going to be so very happy in his new home with the two boys keeping him busy.

77 DAYS OLD:  oh no, emma just left. lisa, jim and ben came to get her. ben is holding emma.

001

mom, lisa, came over to say hello.

002

then mom got to hold emma. such a perfect name for a perfect little lady!

004

a moment for a family portrait.

003

then into the car for the ride to her home where she will meet oliver and libby, her new tt brother and sister.

005

and then there was one . . . .

006

76 DAYS OLD:  emma leaves tomorrow, so we made the ‘saturday rounds’ of blandford one last time. first stop the dump, where we ran into carolyn.

002

after vernon and tim finished emptying my car. tim had a chance to say hello/goodbye to emma.

003

then off to the library where janet, the director of the library said hello to emma. emma was a little nervous on the counter.

004

but when she was put down on the floor she made the library her own. here she is helping janet restack the shelves.

006

then she ran laps around the shelves. on one of the laps she found janet’s gloves.

008

then it was off to the children’s section where she just had to inspect the heating vent.

007

after about an hour of fun in the library, we went across the street to the market and said goodbye to roland.

010

then it was off to sheepgate to say one last goodbye to maureen . . . but because of this extreme cold spell they had run out of gas, so maureen was home in the warm while her husband bob was holding down the fort and waiting for the gas man.

011

long adventure for emma. when we got home rover was so very happy to see his little sister. after a joyful reunion, emma took a very long nap.

75 DAYS OLD:  tango just left. tiffany was holding tango while his new dad was filling out the paperwork.

001

then everybody got ready to go.

002

rover and emma were not happy – lots of barking and complaining when tango didn’t get put back in the pen.

005

and then there were two . . . .

•January 24, 2013 • Comments Off on

74 DAYS OLD:  last adventure in blandford for tango. he leaves tomorrow for his new home. we went to the library. at first he was a little overwhelmed.

001

then he walked around a little bit. still checking everything out.

002

finally decided it was okay.

003

then it was off the vet’s office for a follow up exam. everything checked out! he doesn’t look too happy with hazel examining his little boy parts.

004so cold and windy here, we just went home to the warm.

•January 23, 2013 • Comments Off on

73 DAYS OLD:  today was coby’s turn to leave. we met p.j. and her son, joe, in palmer, mass. we went through all of the paperwork and got coby settled in their car. coby was real happy to see p.j.

002

he gave me a kiss goodbye.

001

then with his new travel harness securely on, it was into the back seat with joe for the ride to his new home.

003

and then there were three . . . .

•January 22, 2013 • Comments Off on

72 DAYS OLD: coby leaves tomorrow. thought i would give him one more adventure before he leaves. i put a harness on him, which he didn’t seem to mind. we stopped first at the post office to drop off some mail. nicki just had to say hello.

001

then stopped at the library, where cindy the librarian was able to take a quick break.

002

the blandford knitting group gets together every tuesday at the library. pat had a big hello for coby.

003

once hello’s were over, it was time to check out the pile of yarn on the table.

004

coby went up to pamela to say hello . . . or he might have been more interested in getting at her knitting.

007

he was really interested in pamela’s knitting bag which was on the floor.

008

when pamela picked up her bag, he went right over to julie’s knitting bag.

009

so cold up here. rather than let him walk back to the car on the leash, i picked him up and carried him to the car. tonight it is supposed to go below zero. brrrrrrrrrrrr.

71 DAYS OLD: wow – 10 weeks old yesterday! seems like they were born just yesterday . . . darla is now downstairs with the other dogs and she seems to be taking it okay. puppies are busy playing with each other and taking naps. hopefully they won’t miss her too much tonight – it will be their first night without mom. today was fun for the babies. carolyn’s grandchildren came by to see the puppies. something about puppies and boys. emma was a big hit with max.

001

then leo wanted his turn holding emma,

002

and with a little help from mom (katie), he was able to hold her.

003

carolyn helped max hold tango while rover is saying, ‘pick me, pick me!’

004

max and leo and i all got in the puppy pen and played with the puppies for a little bit. puppies liked everyone’s toes and emma was fascinated with the string on leo’s pants. then everybody got ready to go. kate and ollie and zoe all seemed to have a good time.

006

i think emma has a new friend in max.

69 DAYS OLD:  got a report back on lexus – she is doing well and her big brother (nick the tt) likes her. . . so far. hopefully he won’t mind having a pesky little sister. today being dump day in blandford, coby and i went to the dump and said hi to vernon.

001

then a quick stop at sheepgate to say hello to maureen. she was busy with customers, so coby got to explore. he found a stuffed sheep.

003

then he checked out some weaving tools and yarn made from local sheep.

005

home again for a nap. he will be going to his new home on cape cod on wednesday.

006

a little later stan, diane and tiffany came to visit with tango.

007

tango loves to give puppy kisses. tiffany is not too sure about it.

009

just made plans for tango to go to his new home. he leaves on friday afternoon. coby will be leaving this coming wednesday for the cape, and then there will be two. . .

67 DAYS OLD: lexus left today. i am definitely having separation anxiety. earlier this evening she had her first bath. she didn’t seem to mind and liked being rubbed down by the towel, but wasn’t too happy about the hair dryer. we ended up with her sitting on my lap being brushed and air dryed. when i put her back with her brothers and sister they were all over her – i wonder if they recognized her as her scent must have been so different. they were all over her. that’s lexus underneath everyone in the top left corner.

001

they chased her around and finally got her in the top left corner of this picture.

002

but all ended well. david, dad phil with mairead holding lexus just before leaving.

003

darla has been separated from the babies during the day but goes in with them at night. she’s been circling in the 3 x 3 since lexus left. she is definitely going to have separation anxiety also when she realizes that lexus is not with her brothers and sister. to make everything a little easier for everyone, on sunday she will go back downstairs while the babies stay up here. this will help a little when the others leave – hopefully it will make it easier for the babies (and new families) at their new homes.

66 DAYS OLD:  i spent yesterday down in westfield grocery shopping, stopping at cvs, etc. one of the downsides of living here in beautiful rural massachusetts is that grocery shopping becomes a day trip when you add in all of the other stops that have to be made. so no adventure yesterday. today was spent getting everything together for the new puppy owners . . . lexus is leaving for her new home tomorrow evening! this is such a sweet litter i am really going to miss them as they leave. i was trying to explain to the puppies that today was going to pass without an adventure or someone coming to visit them, they just look so disappointed.

001

tango, coby and emma really know how to lay on the guilt!

002

•January 14, 2013 • Comments Off on

64 DAYS OLD:  p.j. and joe came again to play with coby/audi. they brought a toy for coby that they were hoping to take with him when he leaves for the final time. the idea was that the toy would have all of the smells of his mother and his litter mates on it and it would help with the transition to his new home. that was the idea. coby loved the little blue stuffed animal . . . but so did lexus . . .

001

the battle continued . . .

002

and got really serious . . .

003

soon they got tired, but tango/jag, emma/porsche and rover decided they liked the stuffed animal too.

004

by the time it was over the poor little blue animal had a hole in its head and its stuffing was coming out.

i swear that coby knows this is his new family. all of the other puppies were playing together, but coby stayed with p.j. and joe.

005

aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – puppy love.

006

puppies so love it when people come over and play with them. p.j. and joe left to go home. after a tough afternoon of playing, now so incredibly quiet here . . . emma and rover went off to one corner.

007

in the background is the stuffed moose – in the front from the left tango, lexus and coby.

008

now i have to run down to westfield and get some more puppy food. mom and the 5 puppies are eating 10 cups of dry food and drinking 2 quarts of water a day! this should be my last trip for puppy food – plans are being made for the puppies to go to their new homes. i think they are going to do well, but i have a feeling that darla and i are going to have severe separation anxiety when they all leave. oh well, in the words of the great scarlet o’hara, ‘i’ll think about it tomorrow’.

•January 13, 2013 • Comments Off on

63 DAYS OLD:  9 weeks old today! how did that happen?? i keep thinking they’re younger than they are. on rover’s ‘adventure’ today i even told someone he was 8 weeks old. don’t know where my brain has gone, getting old is just so much fun! we went to the gas station market in otis because we needed more stoneyfield organic yoghurt for darla, then stopped in at katie’s to get some suet for the birds. rover made a bunch of new friends.

002

it’s sunday afternoon and here in blandford not too much is open, so rover got to play in the snow again. at first he was not too sure about it.

003

but then decided it was fun and ran up to the top of the pile of snow!

62 DAYS OLD:  it’s dump day in blandford, so i grabbed lexus and off we went. gordon was helping out today.

001

then a quick stop at the library where we said hello to janet, the library director.

003

then it was down on the floor to explore.

004

lexus has absolutely no fear, just has to check out everything.

005

dan was busy working, but had to take a break to say hello.

008

we hurried home because stan and diane were coming over to play with tango/jag. they brought their daughter tiffany along as well. at first all of the puppies were in their pen and they got to see them all interact.

DSC_0216

one by one i moved the puppies over to darla’s 3 x 3 so that everyone could bond with tango.

010

stan and diane are already planning their next visit. tango is taking a nap.

61 DAYS OLD: somewhere along the line i messed up the days – hopefully from now on it will be right. anyway, 6 rabies shots for my older dogs (darla got a ‘bye’ as she is still nursing), 1 rabies shot for my 20 year old cat and the 5 puppy shots later, there were tons of kisses for everyone. hazel holman, dvm and vet tech crystal took on the puppies one at a time.

lexus went first. she thought the pens in dr. holman’s pocket were really interessting. she weighed 6.9 lbs.

001

then came emma/porsche. such a sweetheart, she was busy listening to whatever crystal was saying. emma weighed in at 6 lbs.

002

coby/audi had his turn. such a lover, coby just loves to snuggle. he weighed 7 lbs.

005

now rover. rover wins the prize for the biggest puppy – but such a gentle giant! he weighs 7.9 lbs.

003

and last was tango/jag who was more interested in checking out the herbs hanging from the ceiling. he weighed 7.2 lbs.

004

dr. holman and crystal had to hurry back to a full schedule of appointments. later on today dr. holman will prepare health certificates for each puppy that the new owners will get to give to the puppies’ new vets. she left the vacccination and weight information here which will also go to the new owners. so much easier for me this time, the timing worked out well – dr. holman came here for the older dogs’ rabies shots and we were able to schedule the appointment to coincide with the puppy exams/vaccinations. although there is nothing like sitting on her office floor with 5 little tibetan terriers creating all sorts of havoc! only thing left for me is to watch the puppies poop and bag it so i can bring it in to be sent to the lab for examination. new owners should make vet appointments 4 weeks from today for the puppies’ second in a series of 3 puppy shots.

•January 10, 2013 • Comments Off on

61 DAYS OLD:  busy, busy, busy. vet comes tomorrow for a ‘house call’. most of my adult dogs and a couple of cats are due for their 3 year rabies vaccines and the puppies are due for their well baby visits and their first of a series of three puppy vaccinations. just got finished cutting 364 nails. poor babies have been missing their adventures – which hopefully will start again tomorrow after the vet leaves. meanwhile, the puppies are busy making me feel guilty for the two day hiatus.

59 DAYS OLD: the hardest thing about darla’s blog is choosing which pictures not to include. today is a prime example.

you know the ad for mastercard with all of the toys and the little girl plays with the box they came in? tons of toys every day for the puppies. so i am shredding newspaper for the litter box while the puppies are eating and an insert falls out into the litter box . . .

003

this blue insert kept them busy for about 10 minutes . . .

005

PRICELESS!

004

then it was emma’s (aka porsche) turn for an adventure. off we went to the town library . . . two steps into the library, mary, who lives here in blandford, just had to say hello to emma.

006

then it was down on the floor to explore . . .

007

and to check out the toys in the children’s section . . .

012

okay, enough of that . . .

013

we said goodbye to cindy, the librarian . . .

014

the library parking lot had tons of snow . . .

016

emma decided snow was good to eat . . .

018

and then had the chills the whole way home!

•January 7, 2013 • Comments Off on

57 DAYS OLD:  big adventure for rover. first it was to the local market. we found kathy, the area’s ups driver, having lunch and she just had to say hello.

001

then up to the counter where tina (roland’s mom) gave us the old newspapers she had been saving for the puppies.

003

then to see nicky at the post office where rover sent his new family the puppy book.

004

then to home, where we got to play in the snow.

005

so hard to get a picture of him . . . every time i took a step back, he ran up to me. so i plopped him on top of a pile of snow where he had to think about it for a few seconds and i could get a picture.

006

finally back inside, where mom went over him head to tail to make sure he was all right and to welcome him back.

007

•January 6, 2013 • Comments Off on

56 DAYS OLD:  8 weeks old today! interesting day . . . a really nice family that has a 5 year old tibetan male named nick stopped in to meet lexus (i’ve always said that the only thing better than having a tibetan in your life is having two tibetans in your life!) . . . and they instantly fell in love with lexus. this is david, maeve (lexus), mairead and mom, colleen.

002

this is dad phil holding rover.

003

here david is holding lexus while maeve takes their picture.

001

lexus is going to have a great life with this family. i just know i am going to kick myself for letting her go – such a cutie and such a great little personality.

was planning on taking tango (aka jag) out for an adventure, but don’t know if we will have time. my molly was at shows this weekend (she won saturday, but lost today) and i have to pick her up when her handlers drive through blandford on the mass pike – so i have to hang around for their phone call. decided we could still do a short adventure.  you forget, everything is new and potentially a great adventure. i put the harness on him and we went outside to the driveway. tango is not too sure about the harness or this cold, white stuff.

004

hmmmmm. doesn’t smell even if i bury my nose in it.

005

we were outside about 5 minutes. at the end of that time he was running around in the snow. then back inside for the warm . . . and mom!

006

•January 5, 2013 • Comments Off on

53 DAYS OLD:  busy day for the puppies. it was coby’s (the puppy formerly known as audi) turn for an adventure. first stop the town dump where he met vernon and got to look at all sorts of new things.

001

then we stopped at sheepgate, a local shop that specializes in handmade, hand-crafted items made by mostly local artisans. maureen, the owner of the shop, is holding him, but coby seems more interested in getting back to chewing on the pens on the desk.

002

then all worn out from his big adventure, it was back home for a nap.

003

but not for long . . . stan and diane came over to meet jag. jag was fascinated with diane’s toes.

004

then he discovered her sweater . . . .

005

but then he decided kisses were better.

006

now another puppy all tired out. it’s going to be a quiet afternoon here – maybe i can get to take a nap too!

007

so jag is going to go live with stan and diane and do a lot of hiking and even boating. also heard from marni – rover will be joining her, stewart, zach and ben in 3 weeks and will have a great time keeping up with his two older (two-legged) brothers.

•January 4, 2013 • Comments Off on

54 DAYS OLD: these little guys are just way too cute. i have mixed in 2 of the sound effects cd’s with 4 cd’s of tibetan music – so they are getting used to what real life sounds like. just way too quiet in my house and in town. today it was porsche’s turn for a big adventure. first stop would have been a great photo op – we were sending her new family a puppy care book, but nicky, the postmistress, was sick – hopefully for her not with the flu. then we were off to the local market. this is roland, the owner of the market.

003

wasn’t long before they made friends.001

then kim had to come over and say hello.

004

absolutely amazing how the puppies just make everyone smile!

•January 3, 2013 • Comments Off on

53 DAYS OLD: the adventures have begun. lexus did really well on her first real trip outside the house. so cold here, i put her inside my coat and her little head was peeking out under my chin. nice and comfy, we drove off to the first stop – the post office where she met nicky and wendy.

003

then it was off to the library. i put her down on the floor . . . and she was off exploring. no fear at all. she ran up to all of the patrons to say a brief hello and then went off exploring again.

004

a nice goodbye and a couple of kisses for pamela, the librarian, and then back home where darla went over her real well to make sure she was okay and rover came over and gave her kisses.

005

carolyn hadn’t seen the puppies  in a couple of weeks and she came over (after we got back from lexus’ adventure and the babies had had their lunch) for a PUPPY ATTACK! jag got hold of carolyn’s hair, rover was chewing her right big toe and lexus was working on her left big toe and porsche was chewing on her jeans and coby was climbing up her so he could kiss her face. carolyn is already planning her next visit.009

52 DAYS OLD: new year’s day was one of relaxation. back to normal today, which was lexus’ day to shine. nadine came over to take a second look at her and so did my friend elaine. here is lexus giving us a second look.

004

we tried to get her to do a show pose with elaine holding her, lexus had other ideas.

005

next nadine tried . . . but got kisses instead.

007

99 per cent sure she is going to stay here. she is a real cutie. tomorrow the adventures begin!

50 DAYS OLD:  while getting puppy food the other day i saw this 6′ long rope and although i thought it might be too wide for the puppies to play with, it was just so neat, i decided to get it for them. here are the puppies checking out their belated birthday gift.

001

they started to stretch the rope out.

002

porsche and coby (aka audi) are pulling on one of the rope ends while lexus gets her mouth around it a little farther away.

003

tug of war anyone???

004

i have spent most of the morning playing in the puppy pen . . . i’m worn out – time for a nap (for me!).

•December 30, 2012 • Comments Off on

49 DAYS OLD:  puppies are now 7 weeks old! absolutely amazing how fast they grow. more visitors today. zachary and ben got right in the puppy pen. rover and jag really liked both of them. the two girls stayed in the other part of the pen and slept through it all. audi went to stay with his mother for a while and hopefully keep her quiet.

002

the boys really seem to like zachary. the girls were still sleeping. audi was doing a terrible job keeping darla quiet.

001

all too soon it was time for the boys to leave. first zachary had to say goodbye to rover.

003

then ben and mom said goodbye to rover while zachary said goodbye to jag.

005

another late lunch and then a long nap for the babies.

UPDATE:  porsche will be going home with the lisa, jim, ben and elena (and oliver and libby – two other tt’s) at the end of january! she is going to have a great life!

•December 29, 2012 • Comments Off on

48 DAYS OLD: more visitors today for the puppies. lisa, jim, ben and elena (who already have two tibetans – oliver and libby) drove all of the way from the worcester area IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SNOW STORM to come meet the puppies. this is lisa, elena and ben inside the pen playing with the puppies. jim had to stand outside as there was no room left for him.

003

001004

but, puppies were passed over to him so he could join in the fun. something about puppies, especially tibetan terrier puppies, makes you smile.

and then porsche won over ben’s heart. more smiles!

002

then back in the car for the ride home IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SNOW STORM. only another tibetan owner would understand. it makes perfect sense to me. after they left it was so very quiet, i went into my room to check on the puppies. they were all down for the count. so very exciting and so much fun when people come to visit and play . . . from complete chaos to sleep in a matter of seconds.

005

47 DAYS OLD: pj and her son came over to meet the puppies and to pick which one would be going home with them in 4-1/2 weeks. puppies loved their visit, especially when pj and joe got into the puppy pen and played with them. choice was between porsche and audi.

006

porsche gave pj lots of reasons to pick her . . .

011

audi used the more quiet, loving approach on joe . . .

008

lexus joined porsche just to make the decision harder . . .

010

but in the end – it’s audi!

012

since pj and joe left, babies have been sleeping. so much excitement! i almost hate to go in and wake them up so they can have their late lunch! then i am off to the store to get . . . more puppy food.

•December 27, 2012 • Comments Off on

46 DAYS OLD:  puppies had their nails cut again today. starting next week the nice soothing tibetan music will transition over to the 400 sound effects – can’t wait, i will have the sounds of parades marching and jack hammers hammering and airplanes coming in for a landing in my bedroom. also their ‘adventures’ will begin and we will be off to the library, the market, sheepgate (a local shop for artisans) and even the dump! but, for now, the ‘litter box’ doubles as the puppies favorite play area! this is audi having a ‘discussion’ with jag over just who is ‘king of the litter box’.

004

long live ‘the king’ !

45 DAYS OLD:  busy, busy day for the puppies today. nadine, the owner of the dad, came over for her first look at the puppies. after playing with them for a while, we took pictures. rover was first up.

001

with a little discussion

004

we got the picture we were looking for

003

then it was jag’s turn, he got it right away

005

audi followed

006

and then it was the girl’s turn. porsche went first

008

a little more adjusting

009

got it!

010

last, but not least, time for lexus

011

good job, well done babies.012

after pictures we sat around and talked and talked and talked. then all of sudden we realized it was 7:30, there were 5″ of snow on the ground over ice and nadine had a normal 1 hour drive home on twisty country roads and highway. it took her over 2 hours 15 minutes to make it home, but she did it safely and without incident. by the time i got done taking care of puppies, mom, molly, dogs and cats it was after 11. poor nadine, after that tense ride home, i don’t know how long it took her to take care of her dogs.

44 DAYS OLD:  MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! in the spirit of the day, puppies have been listening to christmas carols all day. here is lexus all done up with a bow.

027

it took about 35 tries to get this one picture – thought you would get a kick out of seeing some of the other shots. my son’s job was to try to keep lexus in the bowl . . . and to catch her when she escaped while i stood by with the camera. did i mention that patience (and a good sense of humor) is a requirement for having a puppy?

42 DAYS OLD:  6 week birthday today! amazing how fast the time goes by and how fast they are growing. i had just brought their breakfast in and put it on my bed while i fed mom. when i came back to the puppy pen, jag, audi and porsche just look like they are telling me they want their food . . . now!

41 DAYS OLD: puppies are still listening to tibetan music. mom still feeds them, but they are now eating puppy food 3 times a day. they really do enjoy their expanded play area . . . even if little porsche looks like she is in jail. actually mom was standing just outside the puppy pen. she was much happier when mom was put back in with the babies.

40 DAYS OLD:  puppies are so big now that the 4′ x 4′ puppy pen is just too small. today i added the 4′ x 4′ extension to give them more room. there is a little drop between the two sections, plus it’s something new, so puppies have to get used to it. surprise! the first one to explore the new area was lexus!

003

after lexus had been in there a couple of minutes porsche joined rover to think about joining lexus. rover eventually did . . . porsche decided to wait a little bit more.

31 DAYS OLD:  rover has teeth!!! peeking out from his gums there are two teeth on the top and two teeth on the bottom. poor mom who is still nursing the babies, very soon all five puppies will have teeth. this is rover with a teething toy, although he much prefers to use the edge of the litter box.

001

carolyn came by later in the day to help me take pictures of the babies for my christmas card. when she first came in, she went over to the puppies to say hello. puppies came over to say hello to her!

30 DAYS OLD:  a (very) brief moment of quiet. lexus, jag and rover looking for some mischief they can get into.

011

a little later in the day mom laid down for a rest . . . and puppies quickly lined up for a midday meal. if you go back to the day they were born, you can really see how much they have grown.

29 DAYS OLD: puppies are now getting a little puppy food twice a day now, but mom still feeds them after each meal and throughout the day. she  feeds them standing up so they can all eat at the same time and so their nails don’t scratch her tummy??? check out the empty food dish in the lower left corner of the picture. after all done eating, they lick the food off of each other’s feet and faces.  they are still listening to tibetan music; but, soon the cd’s will be changed over to 4 sound effects cd’s so they can get used to different sounds – my house is just so quiet.

001

i went back into my bedroom to take out the empty puppy dish . . . jag is just too cute, i had to share this picture of him!

002

so i posted the above and again went back into my bedroom to get the puppy dish. jag was still sleeping soundly in the dish, porsche was asleep just outside the dish, audi was sleeping on his back over by mom . . . and rover and lexus . . . well, here is a picture of them.

003

that’s it. i have to get on with my day. i think i will leave the bowl in there for a while.

28 DAYS OLD: carolyn came by to help celebrate the puppies’ 4 week birthday. time goes by so fast. they are really beginning to look like tibetan terriers – their little tails are starting to curl up over their backs. i love how they all come running over with tails wagging to greet people coming into the room.  porsche was so excited to see carolyn . . . but as soon as she was picked up, she promptly fell asleep. meanwhile, the three boys got into a huge wrestling match with lots of growling and barking while lexus sat quietly by the side of the puppy pen waiting for her turn to be picked up.

26 DAYS OLD: puppies have been trying to eat mom’s food – not a good idea as they don’t have teeth yet. so, decided to start feeding them some puppy food that has been food processed down to a powder mixed with yoghurt and warm water . . . . most ate with impeccable table manners – rover, however, got really into it – literally!

014

after eating i pick them up and put them into the re-purposed ‘litter box’. in time they will go in here on their own. this is audi making use of the ‘facilities’.

25 DAYS OLD: rover looks like he wants to explore the world outside the puppy pen. in a few days i will add an extension so they have more room to play. but, for now, i will be sure to secure the top to the puppy pen. can you tell what he is thinking of doing?

008

hmmmmm.

005

won’t be long before he figures out how to climb out of the pen.
